AUDIO-ALIGNED AND PARSED CORPUS OF APPALACHIAN ENGLISH (henceforth AAPCAppE)

Section 4
I will use the AAPCAppE only for the purposes of private or scholarly research, or for the purposes of teaching. I will not redistribute the AAPCAppE (or portions thereof) to others except in limited passages, and under the ordinary standards of scholarly citation, and with extreme respect for the interviewers and interviewees who represent the AAPCAppE. I will also notify any users whom I authorize of this requirement.
Section 5
I will not copy and upload any AAPCAppE sound files onto any websites with free access, such as a personal website, or YouTube, or similar such sites. Sound clips may only be downloaded for the purposes of private sharing within research groups, or for use in oral presentations, under the ordinary standards of scholarly citation, and with extreme respect for the interviewers and interviewees who represent the AAPCAppE. I will also notify any users whom I authorize of this requirement.
Section 6
[A] I will cite any and all AAPCAppE data used in public presentations, conference talks, journal articles, books, magazine articles, and newspaper articles, etc., according the following format:
Tortora, Christina, Beatrice Santorini, Frances Blanchette, & C.E.A. Diertani. 2017. The Audio-Aligned and Parsed Corpus of Appalachian English (AAPCAppE). URL: www.aapcappe.org
[B] In addition, I will further cite such data according to the sub-corpus which the data derive from (ALC, AOHP, DOHP, JHC, SKCTC). The information for further citation for each of these five sub-corpora (as needed, according to sub-corpus datum/data cited) is described on the website.
[C] Furthermore, any sentence token(s) I cite within the text of an article, presentation, etc. will be accompanied by a citation within the text which follows the format exemplified by the following token identifier from the SKCTC sub-collection, where in this example, EA refers to the interviewee and 1,.455 refers to the token number within the SKCTC collection:
AAPCAppE: SKCTC-EA-1,.455

Section 7
I acknowledge that the AAPCAppE is subject to copyright restrictions. I agree to abide by them and acknowledge that violations of copyright restrictions may result in discontinuation of permission to use the AAPCAppE, and also may result in legal liability. I will also notify any users whom I authorize of this requirement.

I will make no commercial use of the AAPCAppE (or portions thereof). I will also notify any users whom I authorize of this requirement.
Section 9
I acknowledge that the distributor of the AAPCAppE makes no warranties, express or implied, concerning the sub-corpora, including but not limited to their ownership, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. The distributor shall not be liable for any direct, consequential, punitive, or other damages suffered by the user or any other person resulting from the use of the distributed materials. I will also notify any users whom I authorize of this condition.
